Antony Reed You have a misunderstanding of the original purpose of electors. There is a reason why the freest states still allow their electors liberty of conscience, as it was from the beginning.
Antony Reed The job of an elector is not to blindly cast a vote based on the popular vote totals. If that were the case, there would be no need for electors. While it is typical for electors to vote acording to the popular outcome, any and all electors are free to vote their conscience.
Antony Reed Col Ram, 'libertarian' is first a political philosophy and a party second. It is like saying "conservative". There is a Conservative Party, but not all conservatives are members.
Antony Reed Which is why congress has no respect, nor a spine. Ron Paul understands that the games of congress are what got us into this mess. Antony Reed What you just described is not the Ryan plan. If all of that was what they had in mind to do, it would have been in the plan. It wasn't. So then, you agree that the Paul Ryan plan doesn't cut it.
Antony Reed Excellent list! I'd like to offer "Good to be King", by 2004 Libertarian presidential candidate, Michael Badnarik. This is nitro-glycerine and should be held with respect.
Antony Reed No need to talk my way out of it, Chris. Seems you were right. How dissapointing. After so much intentional disinformation being spread against the Paul campaign, I'm sure you can understand my initial disbelief. Thanks for the honesty.
Antony Reed This is not an endorsement for Mitt Romney. He's just saying that if Mitt wins, he will support his run against Obama. an ENDORSEMENT is quite a different thing. What BS!
Antony Reed Climate change 'deniers'? Climate changes. This is a certainty. Any link to CO2 output by humans is where it gets fuzzy if not fool-hardy. The data simply isn't there for such an assumption. That is science. Maybe you mean political science?
Antony Reed Adam Puckett is dead-on. Well said.
