Lauren Steiner It was missed by Chris Miles. Anyone reading the LA Times and other local papers' articles written in advance and anyone watching the parade would have noticed the point. Plus, there were 5000 people there. Can you imagine a major TV station not covering something that 5000 people participated in?
Lauren Steiner Your comments are very sad. You know nothing about the movement. Everything you've said in all these posts are wrong. If I had more than 300 characters I would educate you. But something tells me you are too closed minded to listen anyway. I feel sorry for you.
Lauren Steiner The fact is in three months, almost 900 occupy groups cropped up spontaneously in the country, 1200 worldwide. Being that it is a horizontal, leaderless movement, it is very hard to organize. I have been very involved in LA. But we have already changed the national conversation. That is major.
Lauren Steiner The Occupy movement is only three months old. We must first identify problems that have resulted from the corporate takeover of our society and take actions to educate people about them. Because there are many problems, there are many solutions. This format does not allow me to elaborate.
Lauren Steiner You missed the point of the protest. It was against the corporate and military nature of the parade and against a major sponsor Wells Fargo responsible for most Cal. foreclosures. http://news.firedoglake.com/2012/01/01/occupy-the-rose-parade-working-through-the-next-stage-of-the-occupy-movement/
