Jacqueline Alemany Thanks for the recommendation, Jesse. Sounds pretty awesome.
Jacqueline Alemany Thank you, Ed and exactly! I am very aware of it every time I walk into Trader Joe's even with a grocery list in hand and still am at the whim of opportunity!
Jacqueline Alemany RE the connection I drew between music and dating: personally speaking, I have a very intimate relationship with music and found dating, and the NYC dating scene, which has been analyzed inside and out this past year, to be the most relevant parallel. Plus, I would argue that even the most decisive people in New York have a hard time deciding to paying for an expensive event that their friends may not be necessarily be keen on attending.
Jacqueline Alemany Thanks for your kind words, Michael. I actually think that Governor's Ball was a lot of fun. I had more fun this year than last and fully intend on attending next year; however, I do think that I am not like the average New Yorker. The concert was not sold out, not many I spoke with attended both days, and many solely attended to hang out and enjoy the sun rather than be there for the music. While I have no problem with this, my point is more, why is this the case? And what can the organization do in order to increase attendance for next year and keep making the transition to being an established music festival?
Jacqueline Alemany Agreed, George. Although, Gov Ball was a blast.
