Anaam Butt Fair point, but my problem is more with the shade name and how they made a clear distinction of the shade between regular sizes and plus sizes. Why did they do that? It might just have been a cute joke by someone who fills in the description but it can come off as offensive to some shoppers.
Anaam Butt Its all part of the mystery and charm... I mean if we could replicate his awesomeness how could he be sooooo LEGENDARYYYYY
Anaam Butt #Truth. Another great one to add to the list.... But, I mean, in all fairness Michael Scott worked hard... So it seemed...
Anaam Butt nope, we do not know... I actually thought he was a hedge fund manager.
Anaam Butt I couldn't agree more! It really does just boil down to the fact that you should enjoy what you do and who you work with. Work is work. Its just fun to see how television makes some of these jobs seem so glamorous but you hardly ever get any back story as to how they reached the top or are so successful.
Anaam Butt I still kind of wish she was with Milo... Only because I loved his character on show.
Anaam Butt The cast has moved on but none of the stars have hit it big since GG. I love to watch Mad Men also, but every time I saw Alexis Bledel on that show, my heart ached for her because she can't seem to break away from acting like Rory. Maybe the cast should do a GG movie and the give series an ending it truly deserved.
Anaam Butt AHH! Its great to meet a fellow GG enthusiast! I am still obsessed with the show until this. I've watched each episode mutiple times but it never gets old... I find some hidden treasure every time I rewatch an episode. I really wish she would do a GG movie, but Sherman always replies with a retort when shes asked about because she left the show on bitter terms. And yes! I truly enjoy the fact that I knew more about Obama before anyone started to really follow and support him as a true contender for the presidency. On that same note, I really hope that small town flavor transfers over to Bunheads. All the elements are there, I just think this series has many more characters and its going to take longer to develop everyone's stories...
Anaam Butt I really enjoyed this article. During the show's season, every Monday afternoon, most of my friends and I would chat about the Girls episode from the night before and complain about the same exact things you mention: you can't love Hannah, you can't really hate her either.... so where does that leave us? Not to mention, the season finale was a total cheese fest in comparison to the rest of the season. I think Girls has managed to survive this long with such a gross-but kind of lovable main character since you are always itching to find out the next despicable thing Hannah is going to do. You don't want to see what's under the band-aid, but you really want to see whats there.
Anaam Butt I agree! If the issue is to promote safer driving practices then all the activities you mention should be included in the bill. By singling out certain devices, lawmakers are just making those items look more cool and appealing.
Anaam Butt I agree, but unfortunately, lawmakers can not take the full blame for a slow response. For example, by the time most states decided to adopt a talking ban while driving, texting cropped up as another dangerous risk. A bill takes a while to come into play to make sure it properly addresses the problem. I think developers also need to address these issues and take them into account as they put out new products.
Anaam Butt Yes, most definitely deserves the hate over the dress... Such a disappointing choice! Should have stuck with the Valentino!
Anaam Butt Very cool!
Anaam Butt I definitely respect your suggestion and as a matter of fact I will check out Gary Johnson and his platform. Sadly, the only reason I have never considered voting for someone outside of the two major parties is because lets face it --- our vote counts for very little as it is, and voting for a candidate that has a very slim chance of winning, it would seem like my vote would be wasted. It is fair to say it would be wiser to stick with someone I agree with but I am not sure how much it would actually contribute to help bring about the change we need.
Anaam Butt Awesome article. Its cool to see how comics also try to maintain a relationship with the real world.
Anaam Butt YES!
Anaam Butt Yes, I agree with you completely. I am not saying that CNN should just hire any woman on the basis that she is a female instead of giving the position to a qualified person. I am just suggesting that maybe a woman's perspective might give CNN that edge it needs right now without sacrificing its reporting style.
Anaam Butt If gender is not such a big deal, I am surprised as to why we don't have more women as presidents or CEOs of major companies.
Anaam Butt I completely agree with everything you wrote! Great article, and thanks for sharing the news about the new tv show.
Anaam Butt Wow, that's a really interesting point... I never thought of it that way. Thanks for sharing!
Anaam Butt I totally agree! Thanks for the heads up, will add "Prometheus" to my summer must see list.
Anaam Butt I think I will not be able to look at Snape the same way ever again... Or better yet, I will not be able to look at Reagan the same way again.
Anaam Butt The same point you raise about the women in How I Met Your Mother can be applied to the Big Bang Theory. Yes, it would be refreshing to see women not casted in the same stereotypes over and over again. Thank you for your feeback!
Anaam Butt I totally understand and agree with your point that fair and balanced television would equal bland and boring but I feel like given the current social situation it's funny to see that women are portrayed as struggling when in most popular sitcoms from the 90s and early 2000s female characters were more career oriented and successful. Example: Rachel from friends and Elaine from Seinfeld. They struggled but the males in those sitcoms also had there fair share of problems in their careers.
Anaam Butt I am a fan of all these shows and have been following them for a while. My whole problem is what happened to the successful women characters?! If we take a look at Friends and Seinfeld, the girls were all career oriented and I knew as I watched them grow, I always wanted to be like Rachel or Elaine. The female characters sort of go against what is really trending right now; less women opt to stay at home and are now working or going back to school. I respect the stay at home wife/mom role too! But how come the women who choose to work face a lot more obstacles than the men! and why are the roles of the guys on these shows so glorified!?
