On Friday morning, President Barack Obama will deliver a statement on the economy and will call on Congress to pass a jobs bill which he proposed last year. The broad jobs bill focuses on a range of industries, seeking to boost infrastructure development by putting more construction workers back to work and upgrading American roads and bridges, increase education spending by providing more money for teachers, and increasing police and firefighter budgets across the country.
Obama will also address the state of the economy, including the euro crisis, which continues to threaten the American recession recovery.
PolicyMic will be streaming the speech LIVE.
Later in the afternoon, Obama will welcome President Benigno Aquino of the Philippines to the White House for a bilateral meeting.
Later this afternoon, Obama will also welcome the 2011 Super Bowl Champions New York Giants to the White House.
