Apple China Working Conditions: Leaked Video Shows Workers Are Happy Inside Foxconn Factory

A Chinese news outlet iFeng has released a video documenting a visit to Foxconn's new expansive Zhengzhou plant estimated to produce 70 percent of all Apple products. Foxconn, notorious for their miserable work conditions and dismal worker treatment, is portrayed in this video as having a proud, positive, clean, and modern working environment.

The video report starts with Foxconn CEO Terry Gou and reporter flying over the 5.6 square kilometer factory, which employs 115,000 workers. They continue to discuss future expansion plans as the video pans to a wasteland designated for expansions in the near future.

The clip then cuts to inside the factory, and the duo moves from production line to production line, explaining the production of the iPhone 4S, its display and motherboard. Gou boasts that they have the capacity to produce over 10,000 units daily, which he says tops  factories in Germany, Japan, and the United States.

Finally, Gou moves to a clean-room where workers are required to wear suits to make sure the camera assembly for the iPhone is completely dust free.

In addition to the factory tour, the clip also has snippets of employee interviews, which unsurprisingly are very favorable to the company and its various facilities.
