Eight states hold state GOP convention over the next few weeks, and Ron Paul is hoping to continue to build on his recent success in Maine and Nevada by taking home more delegates in the upcoming contests. His campaign has released a new fundraising video asking for supporters to help him raise $650K dollars in order to pull off another major upset.
In a new video, Ron Paul speaks to supporters, hammering home on his message of liberty and highlighting the recent surge of success of his campaign. Paul begins by criticizing the mainstream media for "continuing to blackout any news of our success." He contends that his campaign has managed to draw larger crowds at events than any other candidate in America, yet the media continues to overlook his chances.
Paul then quickly shifts to lambast the GOP establishment for trying to subvert his efforts. According to Paul, his campaign is winning delegates and taking over state parties across the nation. However, the GOP is scared of his success, so they have resorted to dirty tricks and "outrageous abuse of procedure" at state conventions in order to keep his campaign from winning delegates. However, Paul tells supporters: "Let me assure you, our team knows how to fight back and fight for liberty."
Paul's main objective is to use this video to ignite his supporters and raise money ahead of the upcoming delegate fights in states across the country. "Unlike my opponents," Paul says, "We can't hit up Wall Street fat cats for success, nor should we." Instead, his campaign is relying on donations from small donors to boost his delegate strategy efforts.
Paul ends by telling supporters that "now is the time to redouble our efforts. Special interests have already written our obituary." From college campuses to old age homes, Paul tells supporters that his message of freedom is taking hold.
Whether or not his campaign can continue to grow its base and promote this message, however, may depend on whether he is able to raise money in the next two weeks.
