Keith Judd Challenges Obama in Democratic Primary Wins 40 of the West Virginia Vote

The one place you would expect voters to overwhelmingly support the sitting president is in that president's own party primary.

That doesn't appear to be the case in West Virginia.

As the Huffington Post reports, Keith Judd received 40% of the votes in the Democratic Primary in West Virginia. In order to show up on the ballot as a Democrat in Novemeber, all Judd had to do is submit a request and pay $2,500. The more interesting aspect of this race is where Judd currently resides.

Judd's residence is the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas.

Showing strong anti-Obama sentiment, 4 out of 10 voters chose the "Anyone but Obama" vote, and in doing so, chose a jailbird.

Another Primary that saw President Obama facing a challenger was in Oklahoma, where pro-life Democrat Randall Terry received 18% of the vote, qualifying him for a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.

What this resistance heralds for Obama's chances for retaking the White House is still uncertain, but it seems like West Virginia isn't likely to go blue this time around.
