Obama Proposes Lower Corporate Tax Rate, Cool PolicyMic Events and Everything You Need To Know Today

Today’s Word – The Obama administration will announce this afternoon that it would like to cut the corporate tax rate from 35% down to 28% “while giving preferences to manufacturers that would set their maximum effective rate at 25%.” Geithner will lead to the charge to bring corporate taxes, which are among the highest in the developed world, to more competitive levels while closing the many loopholes that corporations currently utilize to lower their effective tax rates.
