Touré Loves Drones, But Didn't Two Months Ago

In an usual exchange on Tuesday's Cycle on MSNBC, Salon's Steve Kornacki and conservative S.E. Cupp found themselves allied in hammering fellow talking head Touré for his praise of the Obama administration's unilateral, U.S. citizen-killing drone program. Touré repeated the standard line about the U.S. being at war with Al-Qaeda, and that he is "comfortable with that." That is to say, he's comfortable with trusting Obama to make the decision as to whether or not an individual is a member of Al-Qaeda, and whether or not that person should die — all without any judicial or congressional oversight whatsoever.

That is quite a reversal from what he said in December:

"The drone program is not making us safer. We're killing lots and lots of people who had nothing to do with — who are not actually enemy combatants."
