Olympics Day 3 Schedule Jordyn Wieber Ryan Lochte Go for the Gold for Team USA

It's been two exciting days of Olympic competition to begin the London Olympics 2012, and Day 3 should prove to be no different, with a series of exciting events on tap.

The major highlights for Day 3 will be: swimming, boxing, women's basketball, and both men's and women's gymnastics. NBC will be providing TV coverage of all the major events, here's a guide to what you should definitely plan on tuning in for: 

Women's Basketball

Early in the morning NBC Speciality: Basketball will show women's group play from 4 a.m. - 7 p.m., and MSNBC will televise the games from 11:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Gymnastics

Both men's and women's gymnastics will feature a host of events on Day 3. TV coverage begins at 10 p.m. on Sunday - 3 a.m., continues from 3:35 a.m. - 4:35 a.m. on NBC, as well as 4:35 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. on NBC, and 11 p.m. - 3 a.m. (on Monday).

Swimming 

There are a host of swimming events to watch, all at different times on NBC. Find the schedule of events here. Coverage begins at 10 p.m. on Sunday - 3 a.m., and continues at 4:35 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. on Monday, 12 p.m. - 12:30 p.m., 3:45 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., and 11 p.m. - 3 a.m. (of July 31), all on NBC.

Water Polo

Women's water polo competition will take place between 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on MSNBC, 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. on MSNBC, and 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. on NBC.

The athlete to watch on Day 3 may be gymnast Jordyn Wieber, who will be looking to lead a strong U.S. women's squad.
