Google I/O is the annual massive event the search giant puts on for software developers.
The conference — similar to Apple’s WWDC Event — offers third-party developers who use and build on Google’s platforms and services an opportunity to engage directly with the company’s engineers.
Sources familiar with Google I/O 2012 have reported that the company is poised to reveal a brand new tablet during its keynote address on Wednesday. The new tablet will look to compete with Amazon’s own tablet, and others.
The Nexus 7's seven-inch display will be an in-plane switching LCD with 1280 x 800 pixels. That will make it a capable device for viewing 720p HD video content, which will fill nearly the entire display.
We may also get our first glimpse of tasty treats from Android’s bright future or a close look at new devices that Google’s partners are preparing to launch with Chrome OS.
During the Google I/O 2012 morning keynote presentations, Google’s leaders will take to the stage to announce new products and unveil platform roadmaps.
